I am so excited to start this next term as one of the team on the Naperville City Council and this opportunity wouldn't have been possible without the help of my family and friends. Thank you so much for your support! I look forward to working hard to fulfill your confidence in me.
Campaigning takes work and needs both physical and financial support. I truly appreciate everyone who helped by posting signs, sharing social media posts, attending rallies and contributing to the campaign fund. Because of your efforts, the message about how I can serve Naperville got in front of voters.
My work is beginning again, but you still have some work to do, too. Election turn-out was once again disappointing. Please keep the conversation going with your friends and neighbors that everyone's opinion is important in our local elections. These are the leaders who affect our daily lives, so encourage folks to take an interest in local politics and at the very least, vote in local elections.
I especially want to thank my family for supporting my decision to run for re-election and in particular, my husband, Gary. From planning marketing strategy to hauling around signs, he's put in countless hours to give me this opportunity to do a job I love.
Now, it's time to roll up my sleeves and get to work for our wonderful city.
